I don’t want to stay in Katanga after my studies

In this interview, Shadic (one of our sponsored children) tells us about his dream career and why he wouldn’t like to stay in Katanga when he starts working.

1. When did HFL start supporting your education?

They started when I was still in kindergarten—middle class.

2. Which is your favourite subject?

Social studies.

3. Why is social studies your favourite subject?

It is the subject I score the most marks in.

4. What is your dream career after school?

I want to be a television news anchor.

5. What kind of support do you get from HFL?

HFL buys me most of my school requirements likes books, mathematical set, school bag and school uniform.

6. Do you plan on staying in Katanga when you start working?

7. Why don’t you want to stay in Katanga and yet you have grown up here?

There are many diseases people get from this place.

8. What do you do during your free time?

At school, I am always in class reading my books. When I get back home, I sometimes play football.

9. Why don’t you play any games at school?

I do not play any games because I do not want to soil my uniform.
